What Do We Believe In?

We believe in the principle of patients and their families. We work toward a healthcare system in which patients and carers have meaningful roles and responsibilities for their own health care and wellbeing. We facilitate and support partnerships among patients and other stakeholders to develop and implement best practices that promote optimal use of healthcare resources to the benefit of all.

What Do We Do?

The Institute for Optimizing Health Outcomes serves as a catalyst and enabler for patient-centered programs, education, research and advocacy to improve care, treatment and support for all persons at risk for or living with health conditions. We believe that optimizing healthcare, health outcomes, and quality of life for all in responsible partnership are the only means to ensure optimal healthcare for all.

Who is IOHO?

The Institute for Optimizing Health Outcomes brings together individuals and organizations with the commitment, experiences, and expertise to bring the vision of optimal health to reality. The Institute for Optimizing Health Outcomes is a national organization based in Toronto, Ontario. The Board of Directors includes physicians, allied health professionals, health educators, and representatives of the patient/ consumer community. Our partners include patient associations, healthcare institutions, government, and industry.
